Our doctors have over 200 years of combined experience in refraction, contact lens fitting and evaluation, therapeutics ocular disease management as well as both geriatric and pediatric optometry.
Dr. David Hauk has been a resident of Berks County since 1973, graduating from Kutztown Area High School in 1976. He received a B.S. degree in biology from Muhlenberg College of Allentown, Pa in 1980. He then attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. Upon graduation, he and a colleague operated a private practice in Hamburg before joining Eyeland Optical as a full-time Optometrist.
Dr. Hauk is a very active member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ in Tuckerton, where he teaches adult Christian Education classes, sings in the choir and occasionally acts as pastor. Bicycling, classical music and writing are among his various interests.
Born in Edmonton, Alberta Canada he completed 3 year of a bachelors of science degree before obtaining early admission to Illinois college of optometry in chicago. Upon graduation Dr. Syed has worked at a retail chain in mobile Alabama and Harrisburg, Pa before starting his own practice in York, Pa for 2 years. He merged with a local family practice offering primary optometric care fitting contacts and therapeutic care. The practice was awarded "Best in York County for Optometrist" by readers of the local newspaper. Dr. Syed recently joined Eyeland Optical Centers, moving to Easton, PA to be closer to family with his wife and 2 young sons.
Dr. Thomas Piccirlli graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Wyoming Area High School as a member of the National Honor Society. He attended the university of Scranton where he made the Dean’s List and became a member of the Pre-Professional Honor Society before graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology. While attending the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, he earned the Alumni Association Scholar Award before achieving his O.D. in 1988. He also earned clinical honors at the Wilkes-Barre VA Hospital and the Eye Institute of Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Piccirilli currently resides in Wilkes-Barre with his wife, Jeanne.
Dr. David Werner graduated valedictorian in 1995 from James M. Coughlin High School in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He attended college first at Temple University followed by Albright College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1999 with a B.S. in Biology. While attending, he received the Jacob Albright Scholarship Award and was a member of Beta Beta Beta, the Albright Biological Honor Society. Dr. Werner attended and earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He received several scholarship awards there including the H.L. Goldberger Memorial Scholarship and the Ciba Vision Scholarship. He was also a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Harris graduated from Clark University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1989 before earning her doctorate degree from New England College of Optometry in 1993. She is a member of the American optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. Dr. Harris practices optometry with emphasis on treatment and management of ocular disease and specializing in contact lenses. When Dr. Harris is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
Dr. Hildy Strongwater graduated in 1983 from Wilkes University with a degree in biology. Following graduation, she attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, in Philadelphia. While there she did an internship at the Veterans Hospital in Allentown PA, as well as an internship at a large contact lens practice in Harrisburg PA, under Dr. Robert Morrison. Following Graduation in 1987, she joined her father’s optometric practice in Easton PA. She remained there until August of 2010 when he retired. She have been with Eyeland Optical ever since 2010. Dr. Hildy Strongwater has been an active member of the POA for the past 27 years. When she's not working she enjoy spending time with her husband Alan and two sons Jordan and Matthew.
Dr. Kevin Chung achieved his undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo in Ontario Canada. He graduated with Honors in Biomedical Sciences. He was then accepted to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and awarded with the Presidential Scholarship. He is also a lifetime member of the Gold Key Optometric Honors Society. He trained under different specialties including specialty contact lenses, pediatrics, and ocular disease management. His interests include traveling, culinary arts, and snowboarding.
Dr. Anthony Do graduated Summa Cum Laude from DeSales University with a B.S. in Biology. After this, he went on to earn his doctorate from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2006. He has been with Eyeland Optical since 2011. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids.
Dr. John D. Clouser, "Doc", attended college at Wagner on Staten Island N.Y. and then attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he attained his optometric degree in 1976. After marriage to Priscilla, in the same year, he moved to West Chester PA and opened his first optical practice. In the mid 1990's, Priscilla and John adopted their two daughters, Tina and Leah from Nanning, China, and Doc continued with his eye care practice for nearly 40 years. Doc joined Eyeland Optical in 2018 and practices in the Temple and Sinking Springs store locations.
Dr. George J. Falcone, OD is a 1979 graduate of The Pennsylvania College of Optometry. His undergraduate studies were performed at the Wilkes University, class 1974, Wilkes Barre, PA. He has extensive experience with the family optometry for over 30 years, and brings with him an extensive knowledge of all phases of family eyecare.
Dr. George J. Falcone is an expert Optometrist with over 10 years of experience in family optometry and is an expert diagnosing, managing, and treating conditions and diseases of the human eye and visual system. Dr. George Falcone was associated with the Prittston YMCA swim team for many years.
Dr. Caitlin Squires is an optometrist with a passion for providing quality eye care to patients in need. After being born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, she earned her biology degree in Missouri and went on to complete her doctor of optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
After graduating, Dr. Squires gained valuable experience working at a private practice in Oregon, where she honed her skills in diagnosing and testing a wide range of eye conditions. Her dedication to her patients soon led her to take on a new challenge, and she began traveling throughout Alaska to provide eye care to remote towns and native villages. She has now returned to Pennsylvania with her beloved havanese-poodle. She enjoys traveling and exploring the great outdoors, preferably with a coffee in hand. With her warm demeanor and dedication to her patients, Dr. Squires looks forward to serving her community as an optometrist for years to come.
Dr. Deloglos was born and raised in Northampton, Pennsylvania. She attended Northampton High School and went on to Penn State University for her undergraduate degree.
After attending Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Deloglos began her career on the west coast in Oregon. She moved back to Pennsylvania to be near family and enjoys giving back to the community she grew up in.
Dr. Deloglos enjoys spending her free time biking and hiking with her husband and three dogs.
Dr. Patrick Stone has been practicing for 30 years and has extensive experience in all phases of family eye care.
Dr. Stone was born in Berks County where he currently resides with his wife and twin sons. He is a graduate of Wilson High School, Albright College and The New England College of Optometry. Dr. Stones’ interests include fitness training, nutrition, fishing and the ocean.
Doctor Stone specializes in all types of contact lens fitting including hard to fit cases.
Dr. Katherine Harvatine graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at University of Michigan and went on to graduate with honors from Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in 2006. Dr. Harvatine is a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She enjoys spending her spare time with her family, hiking, camping, and skiing.
Dr. Whipple graduated from The University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. He then went to graduate school at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and worked as a chemical engineer in research and development for several years. He then went back to school and completed his optometry degree in 27 months through The New England College of Optometry's accelerated OD program. After graduating he practiced in Arizona for three years before relocating to Pennsylvania where he currently lives with his wife and four children. Dr. Whipple provides comprehensive eye and vision care to patients of all ages.
Eyeland Optometric Group provides more than just your eyeglass prescription. Our Optometrists can diagnose and treat all manner of ocular surface and anterior segment disorders. This includes corneal foreign body removal and management of all forms of keratitis, commonly known as "pink eye." We also prescribe medications for many other ocular conditions. If we detect a problem we feel requires surgical consultation, we work closely with the surgeon and assume post-surgical care of our patients as soon as possible.
