Yes, it is your prescription. Following you eye examination, ask one of the opticians for a copy of your prescription and they will be happy to provide you with one.  All you need to do is call the Eyeland location where your exam was performed and they will assist you in obtaining the written prescription. We can complete most single vision prescriptions in one hour, including some Crizal coated lens prescriptions.  In the case of bifocals or other specialty lenses, we require an average of 7 to 10 business days to complete.  Eyeland will provide emergency service whenever possible.
Our eyeglasses come with a free 90 day satisfaction and breakage warranty.  If you are unhappy with your eyeglasses for any reason, you may return them for another pair during this time.  In addition, we provide a 90-day UNCONDITIONAL breakage warranty.  This means if your dog decides to use your eyeglasses as a chew-toy, simple return the broken pieces within 90 days of your purchase and we will repair or replace any damaged parts.  Our 90-day warranty DOES NOT include loss.

Yes. We provide two scratch-resistant coated lenses; TD2 scratch-resistant coating and Crizal Alize anti-reflective coating.  Both coatings provide superior scratch-resistant protection for your lenses and come with a one year; one-time replacement from the date of purchase.
Follow our eyewear professionals' instructions for the proper eyeglass care. Improper lens care is the leading cause of damage to anti-reflective and other coatings and can shorten the life of the product. Even a scratch-resistant coating can't completely protect your lenses, so always keep your glasses in their case when you are not wearing them. Clean your eyewear with a microfiber cloth made especially for eyeglasses, and with the cleaning solution your eyewear consultant recommends.

Unfortunately anti-reflective coating cannot be added to lenses after they are purchased. However, you can bring your glasses in within 90 days of your original purchase and have the lenses re-made with the anti-reflective coating.

Yes.  However, each contact lens examination comes with 6 months of FREE follow-up care.  If you wish to change contact brands during the first 6 months of your prescription, Eyeland and their affiliate Optometrists will be happy to refit you at no additional charge.
Not at this time.  Ordering eyeglasses on-line, while convenient, can present several problems.  You eyeglasses should be fit by an optician.  Eyeland’s opticians are thoroughly trained in proper frame selection for both function and fashion.  We will measure your eyes for proper lens alignment, something that is simply not possible through a computer.

All Eyeland opticians are trained in Lensometry, which allows us to accurately read your lenses to determine all of the details of your prescription.
Yes.  Certain lens materials and coatings can be damaged during the tinting process.  Eyeland cannot be held responsible for damage to any coatings or the appearance of any tinting flaws on your existing lenses and reserves the right to refuse to tint any pair of lenses we deem as high risk of damage.

Your eyewear is custom made just for you.  As a result, all products must be paid in full before they are ordered.  We will however accept payments on account to help you prepare for a future purchase.

Yes.  The human eye has a system of muscles and tissues which allow us to focus on objects at many varying distances.  Over time, this system can fail us with physiological or systemic changes brought about by a misshaping of the eye or age.  Multifocal lenses can provide a great overall answer to any focusing problems you have, but they can also have their limitations.  You may find it more comfortable to have a larger viewing area with the power of the lenses set to a single distance such as your computer screen.  Eyeland offers 50% off all second pairs to make computer glasses both functional and affordable.
Currently Eyeland does not have any Opthalmologist who practice within our facilities, however our private doctors of Optometry will be happy to examine your eyes for any physical abnormalities which require the attention of an Ophthalmologist and can refer you to a doctor in your area.

Yes.  If your last eye examination was performed by one of Eyeland Optical’s private doctors of Optometry, we will have the date of your last exam on file.  Eyeland strictly adheres to the Pennsylvania Code for medical record retention.  If your examination is older than seven years, the information may no longer be accessible. Eyeland Optometric Group provides more than just your eyeglass prescription. Our Optometrists can diagnose and treat all manner of ocular surface and anterior segment disorders. This includes corneal foreign body removal and management of all forms of keratitis, commonly known as "pink eye." We also prescribe medications for many other ocular conditions. If we detect a problem we feel requires surgical consultation, we work closely with the surgeon and assume post-surgical care of our patients as soon as possible.
